The Fairhaven Singers, partnered by the sublime Bingham Quartet, will lift you heavenwards with this gorgeous programme, originally scheduled for 2020.
An all-Beethoven first half belatedly marks the composer’s 250th anniversary, while the second half contrasts Orlando Gibbons’ intense “Out of the deep” with transcendent works by Martin Butler (“Songs and Dances from a Haunted Place”) and Tarik O’Regan (The Ecstasies Above”).
A performance in Queen’s College Chapel, Cambridge on Saturday 6th November (full details here) will be followed by this concert in Wells-next-the-Sea on 7th.
